COVENTRY INDEPENDENT AND ASSISTED LIVING
RECEIVES "NO DEFICIENCY" RATING

Cottonwood Heights, UT - Already known for its exquisite beauty within the city of Cottonwood Heights, as well as throughout the entire state, The Coventry Independent and Assisted Living campus, located at 6898 South 2300 East in Cottonwoods Heights, was recently given a "no deficiency" rating following the Department of Licensing's annual visit.

"Credit for our positive inspection results this year," says Devin Allred, Executive Director of the Coventry Retirement Living ," goes to the caring and dedicated Associate team members who work daily to assist the Coventry residents."

Each year, each senior community within the state of Utah must undergo a state survey to make sure all standards outlined by the Department of Licensing are abided by. If one or more of these standards are not met, the senior community then receives a deficiency notice that must be cleared up by the state. If one or more of these standards continues to fall underneath the state guidelines the property is required to either fix the problem, risk losing their license or pay a penalty. Typically, achieving a no deficiency rating demonstrates that a property pays close attention to the safety of their patients, their staff and the public.

Adds Allred, "We are fortunate to serve the most wonderful residents and senior citizens in the world, this combined with great Associates team members truly creates a happy place to live and work."

For more information on The Coventry's no deficiency report or to set up an interview with Executive Director, Devin Allred, please contact Bettyanne Bruin at 801-759-2498.

Upcoming Events!

Knitting Club: Mondays at 1:30 pm
Knitting club is held in the front lobby next to our cozy fireplace. We knit hats, blankets, booties, and jackets. We knit for our families and ourselves. We also do community projects for the homeless and Primary Children's Hospital. We would love to have someone that can help teach us some new patterns.

Standard Bridge Club: Mondays at 1:00 pm and Fridays at 7:00 pm
Standard Bridge, usually known simply as bridge, is a trick-taking card game of skill and chance (the relative proportions depending on the variant played). Four players who form two partnerships play it; the partners sit opposite each other at a table. The game consists of the auction (often called bidding) and play, after which the hand is scored. Fridays at 7:00 pm we play open bridge in the game room and would love to set up more tables of four.

Party Bridge Club: Mondays at 7:00 pm
Come enjoy playing party a variation of standard bridge! We can set another one or two more tables of four.

Pinochle Club: Tuesdays and Saturdays at 1:00 pm
Pinochle is a trick-taking game typically for two, three or four players and played with a 48-card deck. Derived from the card game bezique, players score points by trick taking and also by forming combinations of cards into melds. It is thus considered part of a "trick-and-meld" category, which also includes a cousin, belote. Each hand is played in three phases: bidding, melds, and tricks. Come enjoy as we play pinochle in the game room. We welcome all the players that want to join in!

Poker Club: Saturday at 1:30 pm
On Saturday we play Poker, 7 down no peek and 5-card draw! If you have some other favorites you want to mix in you can come teach the club how it's done!
